I dare myself:
to be a writer
to be a counselor
to be a physicist (theoretical, particle physics/quantum mechanics)
to be a mathematician
to have a library, done in burgundy and dark chocolate, with the walls literally lined with books, a fireplace, a heavy desk, and a nearly-dilapidated leather chair. I want a floor lamp with a green shade, and maybe a pipe that I probably wouldn't smoke, or if I did, it might not be tobacco.
enough land to take long walks, and not worry about seeing anyone
to live in the woods, with mossy patches and maybe a stream or a lake nearby
to fly
to be able to be alone
to talk with my children
to teach my children about imagination and beauty, art, music, and other poetry of the soul
to make music
to draw
to make money
to buy pizza if I want it.
to make a home in which I actually want to stay, or to which I want to return.
to be out of Corporate America
to be free to express myself somehow without coming under fire from loved ones/important ones or without being punished for having un-pretty stuff inside of me along with all the beautiful stuff.
to sing.
to have a clean house
to rest
to make a difference
to learn German
to speak a Romantic language
to own and operate a used book store
to play a role-playing game
to invent something special
to instill in my children a sense of wonder, and the belief that anything is possible
